Joseph Finnemore

Hey everyone! My name is Joseph. I started here at Box of Maine seasonally in 2019. I had the opportunity to take a month off my job and work for the family business, which I quickly found out was harder than expected. I started off by learning the basics (box building, stocking inventory, and printing shipping labels).

In the off-season, I developed skills in writing, focusing on a weekly blog on our website. After a few more seasons under my belt, I was offered the position of Operations Manager, which I saw as an honor for the family. I’m currently in charge of our corporate sales, customer service, scheduling employee hours, and running our special gem of a gift shop! Stop by and visit — I’ll greet you as you walk in.

Since teaming up with my brother Dan, our vision will continue to grow while staying grounded in our roots — sending Mainers those iconic items that give us the good memories we so long for.

My memory share… my grandmother “Mimi” would pile us kids (seven of us) into the Dodge minivan and bring us to Long Pond in Bucksport, Maine. We spent countless hours jumping off the dock, with an occasional break for a few bites of my “fluffanutta” sandwich (HARD A for that Mainah slang). Then I’d hop back into the water for hours on end with a belly full of joy. Those memories I will forever cherish. I take that passion and send it all over the world.

Last year, Box of Maine shipped over 30,000 packages, sold 20,000 whoopie pies, and moved dozens of pallets of Moxie soda. I’ve spoken to hundreds — if not thousands — of Mainers from all over this beautiful country of ours. It truly is a blessing. I will always love and be thankful for being raised in the State of Maine.
